KIDSFULLY IN 20″
Too small to fear
It’s really amazing what kids today are capable of on two wheels at an ever-younger age. For a long time, the limiting factor with kids mountain bikes were the equipment. The Frechdax offers exactly that and opens up the world of full suspension mountain bikes for the next generation. With Sixpack 1st Ride components, that were developed just for kids and paired with selected components from the best brands along with carefully engineered geometry, gives kids a fun ride for every challenge. This is what makes the Frechdax what it is: The tool for Young Shredders, that sets no limits!
The Frechdax is recommended for children between 115 and 145 cm (5 to 11 years).
Geometry and suspension specifically for the kids
The geometry of the Frechdax offers a safe and smooth ride even when it gets faster, but still offers an agile and easy to control bike on technical trails and in tight corners. The classic single-pivot rear triangle with an optimized pivot point, in combination with the specially tuned RockShox rear shock, give the Frechdax small bump sensitivity and a minimal pedal bob. The 1st Ride suspension fork with carbon reinforced crown, adapted air chamber and negative spring completes the suspension and provides the best ride for kids between 20 and 40 kg body weight. In our experience, the 20″ wheels offer the best combination between easy handling and low rolling resistance for the Frechdax age group.
No compromise on the details
The frame of the Frechdax is manufactured from a hydroformed aluminum tubeset designed specifically to the requirements of small riders. High strength with minimal weight allow the Frechdax to easily withstand the first jumps and drops. Internally routed cables, a BSA bottom bracket and a SRAM UDH derailleur hanger, which can be quickly replaced if necessary, round off the Frechdax.
Downhill and uphill, always in the right gear
We fit a SRAM 9-speed derailleur to the Frechdax, that offers an optimum range of gear ratios with low maintenance and reliability. This means that the little ones can easily climb even steep hills – unless they run out of energy and the parents are once again obliged to tow them up the hill.
